Pacific Stair guarantees to use the standard materials in the fabrication of its stair and stair components. The materials used meet and or exceed all specification requirements.
We have designed and engineered standard embedded steel connections for use when our stairs are installed in concrete structures.
The materials are mill-test certified, welded by certified welders, and inspected by an independent testing laboratory, to insure the utmost in quality. Embeds are shipped prior to concrete placement with a full set of placement drawings.
For use at the stair slab edge
2" x 3" x 1/4" with wood 2x4 attached embed with headed studs 12 to 18 inches on center used for the main stair attachments at the edge of the stair opening. The 2x4 wood block-out automatically sets the embed 1 1/2 inches below finish slab elevation and matches the stair mounting angle installed at the fabrication facility.
For use on the under side of the floor slab to attach hanger rods
1/4" x 4" x 10" embed with 2 headed studs each used in the concrete slab for mounting and welding of stair mid level landing posts, hanger rods or stairs to.
For use at the slab edge to attach guardrails, posts or hanger rods
4" x 4" x 1/4" embed with headed studs 12 to 18 inches on center used in the slab edge at finish grade to weld stair mid level landing support posts, handrails and guardrails to eliminating the need to drill into the slab and install wedge anchors.
For use in shear walls to attach ledger angle landing supports
12" x 12" x 1/2" embed with 4 headed studs each used in a concrete wall to weld stair mid level landing ledger angles eliminating the need to drill into a concrete wall and install wedge anchors.
